Katoh Gakuen Gyoshu Elementary School Immersion Course

(In case the applicant is not able to attend the entrance examination due to being abroad etc. and if there are vacancies in the appropriate year group, the application is accepted by the end of grade 5.)

Examination Contents
  • Individual Aptitude Test
  • Group Activity in English and Japanese
  • Interview with parents and child
The selection is based on the child’s
  • ability to adapt himself/herself to our style of education after the enrollment;
  • future potential and capability to grow.
We put more emphasis on the child’s potential capacity to grow and less emphasis on the child’s current academic performance and ability.
  • Subject Tests:
    - Japanese*
    - Math*
    - English
  • Interview with parents
  • Participation in English and Japanese classes
  • Application documents such as school transcripts and letters of recommendation
* The exam coverage is based on the MEXT curriculum guidelines
Result Announcement Late October Within a few days after the examination day
