Nozomi Bear Program

As you might know there is a type of inter-cultural educational program where a school sends some figure (it can be a school mascot, stuffed animal, tape recorder, camera, letter...etc.) to other schools in foreign countries. As the figure travels around, it collects any information and projects that are given to the figure. When it comes back to the original school, it also brings all kinds of information that the students can learn from.

Last year, our school was chosen to be a participating school and received AK bear. Many students and parents showed a lot of interest and we learned so much from participating in the program. This year, we have started to develop the program ourselves.

Since 1997, our Kindergarten Bears, “Taro” and “Sakura” have together visited more than 15 countries.
