Numazu is in a beautiful part of Japan with Mt Fuji in the background. It is also very convenient by being only one hour away from Tokyo and Yokohama. There is some great hiking and many onsens (natural hot springs) all around the area. On the other side of the peninsular are some beautiful beaches.
